Six Nations Three Matches Saturday March 20
March 17, 2010
There is quite a lot happening in the world of international rugby this coming Saturday, March 20, 2010 in the way of the next three contentious battles in the long standing Six Nations international rugby rivalry.
First, on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 14:30 GMT at Millenium Stadium in Cardiff Wales, the Six Nations rugby teams from Wales and Italy will face off.
Then, on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 17:00 GMT at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland, the teams from Ireland and Scotland will compete.
And finally, on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 20:45 GMT at Stade De France is Paris, France, the teams from France and England will play. Players to watch on this match are new caps for England, Forsyth and Watson, who helped the team secure their recent victory against Scotland. And of course, Nick Easter is always incredible to watch in action.
The Six Nations is a yearly rugby competition started in 1883 as the Home Nations Championship originally between four nations until France later joined the rivalry, giving it the name the Five Nations competition all the way until 2000 when Italy came on board and, now between teams from the six countries (in alphabetical order) England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales it took on the form and name it bears today.
The format of the Six Nations, more formerly known as the Rugby Union 6 Nations Championship, is set up such that each team is pitted against each other once each year with the teams alternating home field advantage from year to year.
