April 19, 2010

If you haven’t gone to your favorite online sportsbetting site and made your fantasy NFL Draft picks, you still have time, but not much. The NFL Draft is going to be here this Thursday, April 22. But even if you miss out on promotions like the Sportsbook.com NFL Mini-Mock Draft, the events of that day will set the stage for all of NFL football betting for the entire 2010-11 season. So if you’re thinking of betting on NFL football this season, get pen and paper in hand and start tracking the picks.

Quarterbacks we expect to see getting grabbed up early include Sam Bradford of Oklahoma, Jimmy Clausen of Notre Dame, Colt McCoy of Texas, Tony Pike of Cincinnati, and Tim Tebow of Florida.

The same goes for running backs C.J. Spiller of Clemson, Ryan Matthews of Fresno State, and Jahvid Best of Cal; for wide receivers Dez Bryant of Oklahoma State and Thomas Demaryius of Georgia Tech. Of the tight ends on the college circuit this past year, Jermaine Gresham of Oklahoma is going somewhere this season, you can almost count on it. But where?

Offensive linemen to watch are Russell Okung of Oklahoma State, Bryan Bulaga of Iowa, Trent Williams of Oklahoma, Anthony Davis of Rutgers, Bruce Campbell of Maryland, Charles Brown of USC, Matt Iupati of Idaho, and Maurkice Pouncy of Florida. And on the other side, for defensive linemen, we’ve got Gerald McCoy of Oklahoma, Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska, Dan Williams of Tennessee, Derrick Morgan of Georgia Tech, Everson Griffen of USC, and Jason Pierre-Paul of South Florida.
