The 2010 Sanyuan Foods China Open of snooker is coming up March 29 March and running through April 4.
The WC matches for Day 1 of the 2010 Sanyuan Foods China Open of Snooker, on March 29, are set up as follows:
Rod Lawler of England vs. Supoj Saenla of Thailand
Robert Milkins of England vs. Lu Chenwei of China
Andrew Higginson of England vs. Li Yan of China
Mark Davis of England vs. Tian Pengfei of China
James Wattana of Thailand vs. Au Chi Wai of Hong Kong
Tony Drago of Malta vs. Shi Shuamgyang of China
Rory McLeod of England vs. Liu Chuang of China
Bjorn Haneveer of Belgium vs. Yu Delu of China
The defending champion from last year’s pro snooker championship is England’s Peter Ebdon. His first march will be against countryman Judd Trump. Australia’s Neil Robertson will face England’s Mike Dunn; China’s Ding Junhui will face Northern Ireland’s Gerard Greene; Northern Ireland’s Mark Allen will face Scotland’s Graeme Dott; Scotland’s Stephen Maguire will face England’s Barry Hawkins; England’s Shaun Murphy will face countryman Nigel Bond, Wales’ Mark Williams will face England’s Jamie Cope; and Scotland’s John Higgins will face Republic of Ireland’s Fergai O’Brien.
Meanwhile, England’s Mark Selby, Wales’ Ryan Day, Scotland’s Stephen Hendry, England’s Ronnie O’Sullivan, England’s Mark King, England’s Joe Perry, England’s Ali Carter, and Hong Kong’s Marco Fu will each face the respective winners of Day 1’s WC matches 1 – 8.
The prize money breakdown for the winners is £55,000 for the winner £28,000 for the runner-up, £14,00,0 to each of the semifinalists, and £7,525 to each of the quarter finalists.
This is first time the WPBSA event will be sponsored by Sanyuan Foods. The 2010 Sanyuan Foods China Open will be held at the Beijing University Students Gymnasium.
